Therapeutic Exercise
Movement is a powerful medicine for many chronic conditions, Parkinson’s included. Research shows exercise can improve balance, coordination, strength, posture, and other motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s.
I have an extensive background in therapeutic exercise and can create and support the execution of personalized exercise plans that include stretching, gait training, functional movement and more.

Nutritional Counseling
Balanced nutrition is essential for optimal health, providing support for energy levels, mood, digestive functioning and absorption of certain medications and nutrients critical to overall quality of life.
I support clients by providing nutrition education, identifying nutrition deficiencies and imbalances and creating customized meal plans that are practical, enjoyable and designed to address the unique challenges associated with PD.

Emotional Support
Parkinson’s effects more than the body - it touches emotions, identity, and relationships. A strong support system is critical to managing the daily emotional challenges faced by those living with PD.
I offer individual support to clients and their loved ones by empowering them to develop lifestyle habits and skills to manage stress and anxiety, improve communication, navigate change, and reimagine the possibilities for a purposeful, fulfilling life.
Group Support
Social interaction plays a critical role in the overall well-being and quality of life of those living with Parkinson’s. Joining Group Fitness Classes, attending group presentations on PD education and participating in a PD Support Group have all shown to have physical, emotional and cognitive benefits as well as slow the progression of PD.
Group Exercise
I have extensive experience teaching exercise in a group format for individuals with PD through the YMCA, and have taught private group fitness classes through The Parkinson’s Fitness Project in Bellevue. I am available for additional group exercise instruction by request.
Nutrition Presentations
I have facilitated 8-week nutrition sessions through the NW Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and have presented at several PD Support Groups throughout the PNW including Seattle and Idaho. I am available for booking Parkinson’s specific nutrition presentations for PD support groups, medical clinics, wellness centers and informational conferences.
Support Groups
Parkinson’s specific support groups offer a safe, supportive space to connect with others who understand what you or a loved one is going through. Many groups extend to loved ones and caregivers as well as the individual with PD. I currently facilitate a monthly support group that is open to individuals with PD and their caregivers, and meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5PM at the North Bellevue Community Center.

I can help you piece together a support plan that works for your life and schedule that includes working with all the resources available to the PD community. These are the organizations with which I work closely to support the well-being of my clients. I am happy to help connect you with one of these organizations or one of the other multiple resources available for support. I offer a free one-time 30 minute consultation for new clients to help them get acquainted to the resources available to them.
